The tower crane is a common equipment which can move materials inhorizontal and vertical direction in a round field in the construction field. Itplays a very important role in labor saving and speeding up constructionschedule. But, with the increase of the intensity of buildings in recent years,the construction department often places many tower cranes in aconstruction field to accelerate the progress of construction, which maycause collision between tower cranes. The National StandardizationCommittee and The State General Administration of quality supervisionpromulgated and implemented a safety code for the tower crane in2007,andthe relevant departments had arranged the manpower and material resourcesto supervise the product quality of the tower crane. The driver of the towercrane was asked to learn the cultural knowledge and obtain a driver’slicense before driving. But the tower crane’s working area is large, and theconstruction condition is complex, which makes the driver and commanderhave an error checking and a delayed reaction that may cause an accident.In view of the forked working mode of the tower cranes, an intellectualsecurity monitoring system which is used to prevent the crane collision isdesigned. The system can alarm to remind the driver and brake the runningof the tower crane when the tower crane has collision with other towercranes or obstacles.The research content of this paper is as follows:(1) First, the text analyses the key technology and function which needsto be achieved. Then,the text introduces the whole structure model of thesystem according to the function and performance, and expounds the reason.The text takes the advantage of the distributed network and the centralizednetwork which exists in the intelligent, and proposes a design scheme of group division.(2)On the hardware circuit design,the text introduces the structuredflowchart of the single intellectual body,and gives a detailed analysis onthe function and the model selection and the circuit design of the module ofthe main controller one and the main controller two and the height and therange and the rotary angle and the storage and the display and the weightand the wind.(3)Present a collision algorithm. The text introduces several collisioncircumstances between tower crane and tower crane and collisioncircumstances between tower crane and obstacles, then gives a detailedanalysis on the judging method and the judging step and the control measureaccording to every collision circumstances and analyses the improvedmethod on thecollision algorithm. The algorithm determines the distancebetween tower crane and tower crane or between tower crane and obstaclesby the geometric method, and gives alarm command which is used to remindthe driver, and gives control command which is used to control theoperation of the tower crane.(4)On the software, the text gives a detailed introduce on thenetworking process and the realization of communication, and then presentsthe specific control process of the main controller one and two.At last, the paper gives anti-collision test and other tests which havesomething to do with the anti-collision. Experiments show that the systemcan prevent the collision between cranes and can monitor the operation ofthe tower crane.
