Given that conventional energy sources is in depletion, as well as environmentalissues becoming increasingly significant, national sustainable development strategieshas become increasingly prominent. Ground source heat pump technology, asrenewable energy, has received more and more attention and support. Ground sourceheat pump technology can not only solve the energy problem, and more importantly,but also improve the environment. In order to take advantage of this technology, effortof more comprehensive and closer to the actual situation should be taken on theground source heat pump system research.Year-round temperature and humidity distribution of five typical cities located inhot summer and cold winter region are cited. Climate characteristics are concludedand analyzed. Design Builder energy simulation software is applied to set up modelsand simulated. Results show that the heat load ratio is between1.29and1.74, and theaverage value is1.5in this region. Given the load characteristics, hybrid groundsource heat pump (cooling tower+underground pipe) system design methods appliedto hot summer and cold winter region is proposed.Hybrid ground source heat pump (cooling tower+underground pipe) systemmodules are analyzed. Cooling tower, underground pipe borehole drilling, groundsource heat pump model are established to calculate performance parameters ofhybrid ground source heat pump system applied to hot summer and cold winterregion.Given five common switch strategies of hybrid ground source heat pump(cooling tower+underground pipe), changing characteristics of geothermaltemperature, water temperature, unit COP and heat transfer of underground pipe areanalyzed.Tube group mode is set up to analysis heat transfer characteristics of earth sourceheat pump system, tube skin temperature and buried pipe heat exchanger of focus onrelatively fixed in the case of pipe spacing linear, rectangular, square tube base pipewall temperature of the way and buried heat and covers an region of analysis andcomparison of different tube group, the horizontal slotted earthwork, horizontal tubetotal length to optimize pipe group mode.Finally, based on a real building in Changsha, three kind of air conditioning systems: chiller and cooling tower and boiler, air source heat pump units, groundsource heat pump and cooling tower, are analyzed and compared to analysis theeconomy of hybrid ground source heat pump in hot summer and in cold winter areaBy comparison of the initial investment, running costs, the use of static investmentpayback period and dynamic payback period of three air-conditioning systems, ofthe advantages of hybrid ground source heat pump system are analysised.
