Although cars have brought a qualitative leap to people’s living standards andsocial development, with the constant improvement of vehicle speed and the growingownership of cars, traffic accidents are becoming more and more frequent and serious.Among all the traffic accidents, the proportion of traffic accidents caused by lanedeparture has been on the rise, so the development of lane keeping system ofintelligent vehicle is of significance in taking the initiative to protect the safety of thecrew. The basic structure and design process of the hardware-in-the-loop simulationplatform of the lane keeping system were introduced in detail. First, the lane keepingsystem and the HIL’s simulation technology were introduced and analyzed. Thetechnical solutions and the development architecture of the platform were built for thegoal. The platform is designed by the requirements and features of the lane departurewarning system and the driving assistant control system. This thesis introduced in detail the LABVIEW and CARSIM’s joint simulation ofthe HIL, the composition of the hardware systems, working principles and functionsof the systems, data acquisition from each system, the design of the control softwareas well as the construction of the simulated driving conditions. In order to achieve thepurpose of HIL simulation, software-hardware interface system was designed, torealize signal interactions between hardware and software. Finally, the lane departure warning system and the driving assistant controlsystem were tested on the platform under the typical operating conditions with driverin the loop, and the basic functions of this simulated platform were verified.
