In order to improve the power quality and power factor of power distribution network in the electric system, reduce the line loss,Improve the reliability of distribution network power supply,SVG(Static Var Generator) synchronous hig h voltage reactive power compensation device can be widely used.In order to ensure SVG facilities work safely,excellent heat dissipation system of the SVG equipment must be considered as an important factor in the product design p rocess by the manufactuer.Forced air cooling heat dissipation by the feature of reliable, easy maintenance,low cost,is widely used by SVG device in the coo ling system.It is the primary cooling form used by similar products.But the pa rameters calculation of forced air cooling is relatively complicated,the relations hip between the module temperature, heatsink and fan is complex,the designer can’t simply determine the heatsink structure and the cooling fan.Based on the design requirements of SVG synchronous high voltage reactive power compensation device,the IGBT module loss,cooling type,Thermal simulat ion analysis and fan match has been performed detailed study on.combining with engineering application,develop a set of reliable and efficient heat analysi s method,according the requirements of engineering application to model IGBT modules,radiator,fan,through the analysis and calculation,lean the internal temp erature and power consumption of IGBT module,through the study on the cha racteristics of the radiator air duct, choose the matched cooling fan,get a good cooling condition through out the system,make sure a reliable operation,guide product design of SVG device.
