Design And Experiment Reseach On Electronic Control Unit For Electronic Unit Pump System Of Marine Diesel Engine

Electronic unit pump fuel system has broad application prospects especially in the field ofmarine diesel engines, because of its characteristics of high injection pressure, in addition, the fuelinjection quantity as well as timing can achieve flexible control, which effectively reduce the dieselfuel consumption and improve emissions to meet the regulations. As the core part of the system toachieve flexible control function, the electronic control unit prompted this paper to carry out thedesign and research work based on the operating feature of marine diesel engine.In this paper, the electronic control unit has been divided into two parts, control module anddrive module. Hardware design and functional verification have been completed for each moduleaccording to the working principle of electronic unit pump fuel system as well as the controlobjectives of marine diesel engine.The control software has been divided into information collection module, master controlmodule, driver module and communication module based on modular design concept. In addition,the "foreground/background" software architecture has been used to complete the control taskscheduling. Working condition has been divided and the control strategy has been designed basedon the operating feature of marine diesel engine. The code of each module has been developed, andin the end, all management strategies have been analyzed in detail including state management,rotate speed signal processing, MAP management, variable parameter PID control and high-speedsolenoid driving control.Finally, Diesel engine bench test has been implemented to verify the control function of theelectronic control unit and test the governing performance of the diesel engine. The test resultssuggest that the control functions is perfect, and the governing performance of the diesel either onpower station mode or on propulsion mode meets the requirements.
