Abstract:The switched reluctance motor (SRM) controller system is a new mechatronic variable speed system. Due to the advantage of simple structure, energy saving high efficient, low cost, small starting current, big starting torque, good variable speed performance, the SR motor has become a research focus at home and abroad. However there are also some weak points in SRM, for example, serious non-linear, complex control method. In order to play its advantages completely, we have to design a specific controller used for specific applications and specific motor. The controller can’t achieve versatility as frequency converter, which seriously hinders the development and popularization of SR motor.The purpose of this paper is to realize the versatility of SRM controller. Through the comparison and analysis, the overall scheme is determined. Through the comparison and analysis, the overall scheme is determined which uses the method of two-phase to start, and use the speed and current double closed loop with method of current chopping combined with the angular position control to adjust speed, and choices the adaptive fuzzy PID control algorithm which can auto adjust the PID parameters by different load types and fuzzy decision to solve the shortcomings of slow response, poor environmental adaptability and poor control precision in traditional PID controller and fuzzy controller. By using fuzzy control box in Matlab and SR motor model, the simulation model of SRM control system based on adaptive fuzzy PID control algorithm is established, which verifies the feasibility of the algorithm running in SRM controller.The universal controller system with the core of a high-speed32-bit DSP chip with floating point arithmetic, includes the current detection circuit, position detection circuit, Drive circuit, fault protection circuit and the communication circuit and three-phase asymmetric bridge power conversion circuit. TMS320F28335is used as the main MCU, and Infineon’s single-tube IGBT is used as the main switching devices. The control software is programed, which uses a hierarchical modular programming method to enhance the readability and portability. Through joint debugging of hardware and software, good experimental results are obtained, feasibility of the scheme is verified, and the versatility of the SRM controller is realized.
