In the recent20years, the concrete-filled steel tube (CFST) arch bridges has been widely built in our country for its lightweight structure, artistic modeling and convenience. But there are many problems to be studied for CFST Arch Bridge theoretical calculations and normative. The temperature problem is one of them. The temperature distribution of the concrete and steel has been well researched, however, CFST as composite structure is different from concrete and steel on the temperature distribution. Studies on CFST Arch Bridge sunshine temperature field and the effects have been done based on the engineering background of maocaojie CFST Arch Bridge.The main results of research are presented as follows:1.A cross-sectional plane model of the CFST Arch Bridge has been established by finite element software ANSYS. Section temperature field of six consecutive days has been analyzed and calculated. Through manipulating the results by using powerful post processor and time history processor of ANSYS, we get the temperature vs. time curve of the key points and temperature field of the rib section.2.Influence law is obtained through analyzing the impact of parameters such as the diameter of CFST, the steel thickness, coating color, section of CFST and the inclination of the horizontal plane on temperature fields.3. Combined with the existing highway bridge design specifications and according to related laws of the results of the temperature field of CFST, the paper proposes the way of determining the effective temperature of CFST and fitted out temperature gradient curve under the effect of sunshine temperature,which provide a reference for the design of concrete-filled steel tube arch bridge.4. Based on calculation and analysis of the finite element software MIDAS for maocaojie bridge, the paper considers the temperature effect which should be paid sufficient attention in the design of concrete filled steel tube arch bridge produces a great deal of influence on the deflection and stress of concrete filled steel tube arch bridge.
