Internet of Things is a new concept which was put forward in recent years. Internet of Things is a smart network system with the function of intelligent identification,location, tracking and monitoring using RFID, infrared sensors, two-dimension code scanner or other technology. In recent years, the information technology has been greatly developed and Internet of Things has become the focus of research at home and abroad, some of the related applications are in the practical stage.This paper firstly analyzed the current development of the Internet of Things technology at home and abroad. Then this paper researched the methods how to apply Internet of Things technology into battery formation testing industry after analyzing the problems in current large-scale battery formation testing. Finally this paper designed and implemented the battery formation testing system based on Internet of Things to meet the requirements of large-scale battery formation testing. Main contents of this paper are as follows:(1) This paper put up with the method to receive and store the real-time battery formation data with embedded device and proposed the method to store history battery formation data with server, after analyzing the problems in current large-scale battery formation testing such as complex operation, small capacity, not able to deal with battery formation data intensively and so on.(2) This paper analyzed the communication principles in battery formation test system, then made some improvements in the traditional packet capture method based on Libpcap and then designed and implemented a new packet capture method based on NAPI and memory mapping principle.(3) According to the working principle of battery formation testing system, this paper designed the software of accessing gateway and server. In the software design of battery formation data receiving, this paper proposed a packet capture method on high-speed network based on circular queue. This method realized efficient network data capture and processing with circular queue and multithreading. In the software design of battery formation data storage, this paper reduced the system I/O calls, and raised the efficiency of data storage with dynamic memory pool technology.After testing the battery formation system, it can realize the function of real-time processing, real-time control, data storage and real-time display. Each embedded accessing gateway can receive the data of20battery formation equipments and make no mistakes in the condition of standard model.
