Coordinated charging is to control the start time of electric vehicle(EV) by unified control and achieve improving overall load characteristics of power grid and reducing EV’s adverse effects on power grid. Coordinated charging has the advantages of low cost and remarkable improvement of EV’s load characteristics. Because of this, coordinated charging has become an important issue. Decentralized charge is one of the main charge model of EV. It has characteristics of difficulty controlling and well adjustability. Because of this, coordinated charging method of decentralized charge EVs has become a hot topic of EV research. By social investigation, This paper analysis the EV’s development prospect and research the impact of large scale EV on our country’s energy security and power grid. Based on this, this paper put forward a kind of coordinated charging control system and focus on its regional control system. This paper also has a research on charge demand of coordinated charging method of decentralized EV, and puts forward a control strategy based on valley filling. This strategy conducts the classification of EVs and put controllable EVs in the valley time. On this foundation, this paper has a research on handling of overload and power failure. By programming in MATLAB and calculating in different examples, the effectiveness of the strategy is proved. In addition, this paper put forward a modified power supply model of EVs, and has a research on the model’s effectiveness in different directions.
