With the acceleration of the process of global economic integration, multimodal transport has become one of the key to sustainable economic development, it has security, fast, simple procedures, transportation, foreign exchange timely saves packaging, etc., adapt to the social development favored by the cargo owners, shipping companies and freight forwarders. However, the development of multimodal transport in China cannot meet the needs of the modern economy of logistics industry. There are many constraints factors of the current development of the multimodal transport, one of the main reasons is transport mode and transport path selection, which become an increasingly prominent mode. Therefore, considering the transportation route and mode of transport, how to solve the transportation scheme problem become a topic of common concern of experts at this stage.However, the study found a number of deficiencies:The considerations affecting intermodal transport paths and modes of transport is not comprehensive enough, there is no exact method to determine these factors; The method also exists some defects; Some scholars to research on only the transport path or the mode of transportation, its research results has certain one-sidedness. In order to make up for the inadequacy of existing research, on the basis of previous studies, this article considers the characteristics of multimodal transport, the Delphi method, the Improved Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Grey Relational Analysis method is applied to the transport path and the mode of transportation of the unknown intermodal transportation scheme selection of case studies.Based on coal transportation as an example, this paper select the Delphi method to establish evaluation index system, this method after several rounds of expert survey indicators of access to more comprehensive. Improvements AHP, invited a number of experts in a pairwise comparison of the evaluation factors, and considering the expert level of competence indicators, calculate the weight of each indicator relative to the target layer. The use of the method greatly reduces the traditional AHP subjective judgment by a single expert. Gray Relational Analysis rules in the qualitative indicators and quantitative qualitative indicators of the information is not sufficient case combination of indicators, and ultimately choose the best transportation solutions, the method eliminates some extent subjective and arbitrary.Finally, the case of this article is used to verify the feasibility of the index system and model, which makes the evaluation results more reasonable, more scientific.
