Electrochemical supercapacitor is a new energy storage equipment between batteries and electrostatic capacitors, which has higher energy density and higher power density.Nowadays, most of the studies reported concentrated on the preparation of high performance electrode materials. As a kind of new functional polymer material,polyaniline(PANI) has atrracted most attentions among the various structural conducting polymers due to its simple synthesis method,particular doping mechanism, high electrical conductivity and good environmental stability.However,because of big rigid of its chain backbone, strong intermolecular force, the poor post processability of polyaniline have badly hinder its application in every field.The research regarded to polyaniline composites at home and abroad found that PANI modified by composition can not only effectively improve its processability and conductive performance but obtain multiple functionality and improve its value of practical application.The PANI and polyaniline/rare earth oxide composites Ⅲ are synthesized by in situ polymerization.SEM, FTIR and XRD measurements are carried out in order to deduce the surface morphology and the structural information of the pure PANI and PANI/rare earth oxide composites,discussing the interaction between PANI and the rare earth oxide.Then the single electrode of supercapacitor is prepared by the composites. The electrochemical characteristics of electrodes,such as specific capacitance, oxidation-reduction reversibility, internal resistance, etc,are examined by means of cyclic voltammetry, ac impedance and galvanostatic charge-discharge test, in the attempt to clarify the contribution of rare earth oxide to the overall capacitance. Caculating the capacitance respectively and finally choose the best electrode materials depending on its best conductive properties。On the study of PANI/rare earth oxide composites,we can conclude that the specific capacitance of PANI/CeO2and PANI/Dy2O3composites rise first and then reduse with increasing the amount of CeO2and Dy2O3.While for the other composites, the Cs decrease with the increase of the amount.All support small amount of rare earth oxide has an obvious improvement effect to PANI while large percentage has a negative effect on the conductivity.
