Chaos is a phenomenon of similar random motion generated by a deterministicstate equation, which widely exists in the real world. Chaos, the active frontier area inrecent decades, has a broad range of application in engineering with the developmentof chaotic theory. Due to the unique phenomenon of chaos itself, people have madegreat progress in the aspect of chaotic application, especially in the application of thechaotic circuit and system. There is a lot of research about chaotic applicationincluding chaotic secure communication, chaos encryption, chaos synchronization andchaos compression. But design and implementation of the circuit and system has beenfacing challenges. There are many practical issues need to study and explore.This article briefly describes the chaotic system about analysis methods andfoundation of designing chaotic circuit, analyses the research status of a variety ofchaotic systems and circuits and conclude development process of the chaotic circuit.At the basis of reading literature and analyzing theoretical, the paper propose anextended higher order Chua’s circuit with multi-directional multi-scroll attractoraccording to the complex of dynamical behavior at first. And then, the Colpittsoscillation based on MOS transistor is design and synchronization method is proposedsatisfying the high frequency. The main work and results of this paper are as follows:(1) A general method is proposed for generating a four to six-order Chua’s circuitwith multi-directional multi-scroll chaotic attractors based on the typical. Chua’scircuit has unique RCL network structure. By introducing an RC structure and anon-linear power, we can get a high order Chua’s circuit. Keeping on using themethod, a higher order Chua’s circuit is designed for generating multi-scroll chaoticattractors on more directions. A sixth-order Chua’s circuit is designed andimplemented, the experimental result verifying the feasibility of this approach. At last,picture encryption with a fifth-order Chua’s circuit is simulated. Multi-directionalchaotic signals have an advantage on the encryption speed with a good encryptioneffect described by the correlation.(2) A Colpitts oscillator circuit based on MOS transistor is proposed. The MOStransistor has better integration and lower power consumption than bipolar transistor.Replacing the bipolar transistor with MOS transistor to design Colpitts chaotic is agood choice. As more complexion of non-linear portion in the MOS transistor, the paper gives a detailed analysis of the method. Circuit simulation results show that, atthe low-voltage power supply, the chaotic oscillation circuit operating frequencyreaches at the high band. Finally, Colpitts chaotic with error feedback circuitsynchronization and dual synchronization of Chua’s multi-scroll circuit and Colpittschaotic circuit are simulated by circuit and numerical calculation respectively.
