| With the promotion of Digital City (Smart City) construct ion, large-scale3D modeling methods get increasing attention. Using parametric technology in urban3D scene modeling has been increasingly valued by academia and the business community. Based on CityEngine parametric modeling, two important city targets including urban roads and buildings are studied in this paper. Besides, existing rules are extended to create3D modeling rule templates which are in line with the real urban roads and buildings. A block in west district of the Hangzhou city is experimented. Taking centerlines of roads and plane profile of buildings as the initial modeling objects, applying the modeling rules created for the construction of roads and buildings, the3D modeling of the experimental area is achieved quickly.Based on parametric technology,3D modeling methods integrate duplication of work into the codes, avoiding the large number of repetitive manual work. Models will be generated quickly by applying the rules. A great convenience for later modification is provided by adjustableparameters of the models.With an output of common3d format,3D models constructed in this paper can be applied in urban planning and design, architectural landscape design, urban management, emergency relief, environmental protection, virtual toursand many other fields. |
