Reactor coolant pump is the heart of nuclear power plant, and the only long-term equipment in high-speed rotation. At present, China’s current react coolant pumps all depend on import. Therefore, react coolant pumps is a bottleneck problem for the localization of nuclear equipment.Specific to hydraulic design of reactor coolant pump, firstly a numerical simulation scheme for hydraulic components optimization in reactor coolant pumps is put forword, the design and optimization for primary hydraulic components of AP1000is completed. Secondly, a modeling and animation method of reactor coolant pumps is put forward, the modeling and animation for virtual prototype of reactor coolant pumps is completed. Finally, the design and fabrication for reduced scale model of reactor coolant pump is completed, then the reliablity of numerical simulation method and the feasibility of optimization&design are verified by hydraulic experiment.The main research work of this thesis is as follows:1. Design and optimiaztion for hydraulic components of reactor cloolant pumps.A numerical simulation scheme for hydraulic components optimization in reactor coolant pumps is put forword based on platform of ANSYS-Workbench. By constructing a platform concluding modeling, numerical simulation, postprocessing and parameter optimization in ANSYS-Workbench, the design and optimization for the hydraulic components that was preliminary design is completed. The performance preliminary satified the hydraulic design requirements of AP1000.2. Modeling and animation for virtual prototypes of reactor cloolant pumps. A modeling and animation method for reactor coolant pumps is put forward in consideration of the complexity and invisibility in internal structures and flow. The modeling, assembling and rendering of the virtual prototype for reactor coolant pumps are completed based on the completed hydraulic components. Then the animation of assembling and operating is completed. The animation intuitively shows the basic structures, part features and operational process, provides a virtual prototype model for follow-up study of reactor coolant pumps.3. Hydraulic experiment for reduced scale model of reactor coolant pump. The design and optimization the reduced scale model of1:2.5which applicable for AP1000is completed. The3D drawing is produced, the wooden patterns of blades and guide vanes is drew. Then the hydraulic components are manufactued, the hydraulic experiment is carried out.At last, the reliablity of numerical simulation method and the feasibility of optimization&design are verified by comparing and analyzing the experimental results.
