Railway signaling system is to ensure the safety of railway traffic, increase capacity, to improve the efficiency of transportation. More requirements are put forward for the system due to the rapid development of high-speed railway, especially in the recent years. However, there is hardly simulation system with the core of "Fault-Security" for railway signaling system. Therefore, railway signaling accident reconstruction and analysis platform is studied in the paper.This paper is based on the project "rail traffic accident reappearance and analysis system", which is hosted by my mentor. There are two aspects in the whole research including hardware and software. In Software, Fault Setting Subsystem is developed to reconstruct the accidents and set the faults, Fault Diagnosis and Analysis Subsystem is developed to diagnose the faults. Fault Diagnosis and Analysis Subsystem is based on expert system, so, the paper focus on knowledge base, knowledge acquisition and reference engine are studied. In setting up the knowledge base, Fault Tree Analysis and Production rules are used to analyze and design the system. Five sub-databases are given in the design. In the Knowledge Acquisition, the direct access and interactive access coexist. In reference engine, the two-level model is used to optimize the inference engine and improve the system. In hardware, simulation train and ground equipment are designed. Simulation train is designed based on real train and functions. And some requirements for the platform are considered. Ground equipment mainly includes track circuit, signals and switch machine, and so on. All of these are simplified for simulation designing, key functions are preserved to meet the needs of project.When the platform is completed, unit testing and functional test are used to verify the actual performance of the platform. Results show that the railway signaling accident reconstruction and analysis platform can work very well and give an ideal reasoning result. It has a certain practical significance.
