It’s caused constant change of the environment of railway system and increase in requirement of rail freight transport of the speeding-up of the railway, construction of passenger dedicated lines network and the adjustment of Train Diagram. As the core of the railway hub, marshalling yards are the base of traffic distribution and train solution. Changes in the environment aggravated the internal contradiction of the marshalling yards system. In the marshalling station system, there are many different kinds of production process and designing assignments combined closely, which ask for dynamic research about the capacity of the marshalling yards. It makes it possible to evaluate complexity of the marshalling station operation and the mutual influence between each operation link of the rapid development of computer and simulation technology. Through the simulation research of each subsystem operation in the marshalling yards, conditions of marshalling station can be reflected in the ability calculation, which prompt to study the sensitivity of various assignments link dynamically, at the same time analysis and evaluation of the marshalling yard operation system can be carried on, which is of great significance to form an efficient and orderly operation of the marshalling yards.Railway marshalling station belongs to a typical discrete event dynamic system. This paper firstly introduced the typical discrete event dynamic system method (the perturbation analysis). This paper used the perturbation analysis to analyze the arrival, the collapse, the marshalling and starting system of the marshalling yards, and then established the simulation model which is suitable for perturbation analysis.Secondly, the paper determined parameters as the arrival time interval, marshalling contents, as well as the collapse of the order in the simulation analysis and studies the marshalling yards generated method of arrival flow. Research of the train marshalling condition, and verifies the generated arrival flow, which provides a strong support for promote an organic whole repeatedly to the total station simulation. Applying Matlab simulation tool SimEvents, perturbation analysis of the simulation program has been established. Considering the unbalanced condition, this paper exert the perturbation to train marshalling operation of marshalling system and the column inspection operation of starting system. Through the analysis, orbital perturbation sample is established. Based on sensitivity analysis method, this paper analyzes the sensitivity of the maximum perturbation about the queuing network system to the marshalling starting time and column test time.Finally, based on the established simulation program, this paper established the indicators that reflect marshalling yards system’s operating status, which divided into working efficiency indexes and utilization ratio indexes. And then divided the marshalling yards into solution system and distribute system. The paper established the simulation study on the marshalling station, and apply the indexes above to analyze the running state of marshalling yards.
