The structural style of open ended cantilevered roof is new and complex, and it is verysensitive of wind load. At present, the study of large span cantilevered roof of wind load ismainly on cantilevered grandstand roof, double side cantilevered roof and ring-typedcantilevered roof. The characteristics of wind load on open ended cantilevered roof lack of study.Typhoon is a natural disaster of huge destruction. Our country is one of the countries in theworld which are suffered the most severe disaster of typhoon, especially the southeast coastalarea of economic zone. Wind-induced failure of large span cantilevered roof will occur undertyphoon, and the change of different parameter will have some impact on it. At present, in thespecification for the wind load design of cantilevered roof, only Australian wind loadspecification gives provision of simple stadium grandstand cantilevered roofs. Therefore, it isvery important to make a study on wind pressure distribution and parameter influence of openended complex cantilevered roof under typhoon. It can provide a basis for the design of structure,and make the structure more safety.According to the characteristics of typhoon, the research status on the wind load ofcantilevered roof, the advantages and disadvantages of the research methods in structural windengineering, the basic theory and simulation method of computing wind engineering had beenintroduced. Use Fluent fluid mechanics analysis software, choose SST k-turbulence model,make a study of the wind pressure characteristics on open ended complex cantilevered roof withdifferent cantilevered length and height under typhoon. Make analysis of the regularities of windpressure distribution on the cantilevered roof under conventional turbulence intensity, Shiyuanturbulence intensity and Tianpu turbulence intensity which are based on measured data oftyphoon. Compare the wind pressure coefficient value in different turbulence intensity. Make astudy of the wind pressure on open ended cantilevered roof under different inflow situation,including different angle of wind direction and different angle of wind attack. Give the windpressure coefficient distribution map of the roof surface in every situation. Analysis the sensitiveparts of wind on the structure. Research shows that wind direction angle make a big differenceon the wind pressure of open ended cantilevered roof.Make a study of wind pressure distribution on this roof under different geometricalparameters in the base of the study on wind pressure distribution of open ended cantilevered roof surface under different inflow situation. Base on Fluent, choose SST k-turbulence modelwhich has better effect on the flow of blunt body, conventional turbulence intensity, typhoonwind speed, analysis the wind pressure distribution on open ended cantilevered roof underdifferent geometrical parameters. Make a study of the wind pressure distribution on thecantilevered roof with different roof angle, cantilevered length and stand ventilation rate.Compare the calculation results of different parameter. Research shows that the wind pressuredistribution and wind pressure coefficient value will change under different geometricalparameters of open ended cantilevered roof.
