Treated acceptably by water supply plant, drinking water undergoes a series ofphysical, chemical and biological reactions in pipes when transported to users throughcomplex urban water supply network. The water quality will come to some changes.Even quality of individual nodes is substandard. Therefore, it is necessary tostrengthen the monitoring of water quality management operation, research the watersupply quality optimization techniques, analyze and simulate and so as to furtherimprove the water quality of water supply network. Take the multiple local watersupply network of a big city located downstream of the Yellow River as the researchobject, and water quality as the research goal. Water supply network model is set up tosimulate and analyze water quality of the instance network. Taking water node age aswater quality parameters, study the calculation method, the change law of node ageand rules residual chlorine changing with water node age, which provides reliabletheory basis for evaluating water quality by water node age and strengtheningmanagement of water supply, and provides technical support for water quality securityand dispatching management of water system. It has vital practical significance toimprove the water quality in water supply enterprises.First of all, the research and application status of water node age in the field ofwater supply network is studies. Learn that research on water node age at home andabroad is not deep enough. But the properties and relationship with other waterquality parameters of water node age in the water supply network determines thatwater node age plays an extremely important role in water quality analysis andoptimization as a water quality parameter. As a consequence, the main content of thesecond chapter in the paper is to study the calculation method of water node age, andmake the results visible. Only water node age is calculated accurately can the furtherresearch proceed.Secondly, after calculating the water node age accurately, the change law ofwater node age in multiple water supply networks is studied mainly in the thirdchapter of the paper. The change of the size and change law of water node age aredifferent, such in different complexity network, in simple network or multiple largecomplex networks system, the nodes of different location in the same network system, nodes near the water resource or in the end of the network, and common nodes.Again, whether it is studying the calculation method of water node age oranalyzing changing rules of different water node age of different water supplynetwork system, the pipeline network system that the paper depends on is all appliedin the study, which is also the multiple local water supply network of a big citylocated downstream of the Yellow River. So the main content of the fourth chapter istaking residual chlorine, iron ions and turbidity as water quality parameters to analyzethe water quality status quo of the instance pipeline network system. Then set uphydraulic and water quality simulation model of the instance pipeline network system.Use EPANET2.0to simulate and analyze present situation of the water quality. At thesame time simulate the attenuation of residual chlorine, and calibrate the attenuationcoefficient by measured values. It is paving for the next step that intensive study onlaws of residual chlorine changing with water node age, and analysis of water qualityof water supply network system using water node age as parameters. Finally, on the basis of the above research contents the present situation, advantages and possible problems of supplying water with multiple resources isinvestigated in the fifth chapter of the paper. Besides the water supply area of thenetwork the paper based on is divided by computer programming, which is themultiple local water supply network of a big city located downstream of the YellowRiver. Study the laws residual chlorine changing with water node age of the nodesalong the flow direction from water resource to the end nodes of each water supplyarea. It provides new theoretical basis for evaluating water quality and describing thewater quality changes based on water node age as parameters of water supplynetwork.
