| The aerodynamic design on the car’s appearance is not only related to the economy, but also to the applicability. The article research the process of the automobile appearance improvement with aerodynamics development, then some characteristic parameters related to it are proposed. According to the secondary development function of UG, a parameter modeling of the automobile is built using GRIP language in order to shorten the development cycle and eliminate the artificial error. To summarize the main process of the car appearance with aerodynamics development, to discuss the methods to generate a free curve and main reasons to influence quality of the surface, to realize parameter modeling based on characteristic using GRIP of UG. The main parameters include angle between windscreen and automobile cover of the car. A changing tendency of automobile cover and trunk and a method of generating a curved surface are given. According to the dead and discontinuity points among key points, an algorithm to smoothness curve is feasible. It will smooth curved surface of automobile body, which is satisfied to aerodynamics requirements. |
