Ac permanent magnet linear synchronous motor servo system is high-performance servo system’s main development direction in recent years, with a high degree of recognition position, positioning accuracy, the low speed running stability, overload ability, and many other advantages, so for this kind of high performance motor servo system control strategy was wide concern.This paper from the traditional integer order PID control theory to begin, to elaborate the integer order PID control structure, rules and parameter setting method, comparison and analysis on the advantages and disadvantages of the integer order PID control. Secondly explained the basic theory of fractional order calculus and fractional order controller, and respectively analysed the frequency characteristic of the three typical links to ractional order control system by using the software called Matlab which with the simulation module, in order to FOPD control as an example, discussed the controller parameter change on the effect of dynamic function of system. Then constructed mathematical model of based on permanent magnet linear synchronous ac motor drive servo system, using two different parameter setting method to design three kinds of controller for the servo system, and are drawed out the bode diagram of the open loop transfer function about servo system. Finally, by observation of control performance of servo system and stability point, we can draw the following conclusions:fractional order controller which designed by this paper is more suitable for ac permanent magnet linear synchronous motor servo system than integer order controller.
