Switching power supply has been widely used in low medium power applications. The inherent disadvantages of forward switching power supply is the need to increase the additional circuit to realize magnetic reset switch, also hard to open mode so that the efficiency of the converter, converter tube to withstand switching voltage drop large (single Duan Zhengji converter is two times the input DC voltage and current stress).This article describes the active clamp forward converter works and analyzes its advantages and disadvantages. An input voltage18V-72V, output voltage is12V, the maximum load current of8A, the hardware circuit design of the DC-DC active clamp forward converter power96W, and the circuit board production have been completed in the meantime. The active clamp forward converter improves the efficiency and output power supply load regulation, by testing the converter parameters to achieve the design requirements.
