Based on the developing progress of V mode(V-Cycle)development of ECU for engineprocess, making full use of computer simulation technology and designing electronic controlsystem to control the dissociated methanol gas engine. With a four cylinder engine as theprototype, adding the methanol cracking device and cracking gas valve in the exhaust pipe onthe air way to make the engine switch between the gasoline operation and methanol crackinggas operation. Establishing the engine control strategy of multi mode: making the engine startwith gasoline mode and making engine switching to the cracked gas mode automaticallywhen the exhaust temperature reaches the requirements of cracker’s working need. Electriccontrol system realize fuel switching through controlling methanol injection quantity andcracked gas valve, and make engine run smoothly in cracking gas mode through controllingthe ignition advance angle and methanol injection quantity.Establishing the engine mathematical simulation model with MATLAB/Simulink.According to the control strategy and control scheme, choosing the control method(open-loop,closed-loop feedback control)and building simulation controller in the MATLAB/Simulink,which realize the function of ECU. According to the calculation mathematical model drawingbasic MAP graph(methanol injection quantity MAP and ignition advance angle MAPdiagram)and inserting ECU.ECU control the engine according to engine speed, solar termdoor opening and exhaust temperature.BOOST software is used to establish the workingprocess of the engine model. Comparing and analyzing calculating data of mathematicalmodel and experimental data, we can draw that model maintained within8%error range, and the control system can achieve the control objectives and meet the design requirements.
