Artillery has been the focus of research at home and abroad as heavy weapons. It is animportant indicator of weapons designed to optimize for distribution of pressure in the bore asa vital element in the internal ballistics. At present, the domestic chamber pressure testingtechnology is dependent on foreign sensor, which greatly increases the pressure gauge’smanufacture costs, and also limits the development of domestic chamber testing technology.Therefore, a testing technology of capacitive sensor based on the shell of pressure gauge isproposed in this article. That is, composes coaxial cylindrical capacitive sensor usinghigh-strength shell of manometer and internal thin cylindrical, and shell elastically deformsunder bore pressure effect to change capacitor, then achieves chamber pressure by measuringthe amount of change in capacitance. On this basis, achieves the programmable control of asampling frequency, trigger level and negative delay points. From the electromagneticshielding effectiveness point of view, an optimum design of the pressure gauge shell isproposed. Research work can be divided into four parts:First, Starting from the basic theory of internal ballistics, combined with thecharacteristics of capacitance sensor, the design of capacitive chamber pressure test isproposed.Second, the design of tiny capacitance transient test circuit is elaborated. The program ofmaster unit and PC interface has been completed, and on this basis, separately from dataacquisition, trigger mode and date storage, the programmable operation of sampling frequency,trigger level and negative delay points are achieved.Third, a feasible optimum design of the pressure gauge shell is proposed by analyzingelectromagnetic shielding effectiveness of the existing pressure gauge shell with thethree-dimensional electromagnetic simulation software Ansoft HFSS.Fourth, analyzes the static and dynamic calibration data to obtain its static and dynamiccharacteristics by Matlab and Mathcad.
