Predict And Evaluate For The Jinshazhengjie Bank Collapse In Shapingba District Of Chongqing

Water storage makes the water lever of Three gorges reservoir in a dynamicchange state, and then triggered a series of geological environment problems inreservoir.Bank collapse is one of a great geological hazards problem which impactsthe safety of the Three Gorges Project. The Jinshazhengjie bank collapse in shapingbadistrict of Chongqing is located in the end of the Three Gorges Reservoir. Based onsurvey in filed an analysis in home, use bank slope structure method and E.r. methodand two-stage and Zorro tower John method respectively to predict the possibility ofthe erosive bank collapse. Use The rigid body limit equilibrium method to analyzethe possibility of the slip bank collapse. Through a deep and systematic research, getthe following results:(1)Based on the basis of the survey on the spot, ascertain the engineeringgeological environmental conditions, including morphological characteristics of bankand structure type of bank and composition and hydrogeological conditions whichoffer a perfect geological basis for the evaluation of bank collapse.(2) Predict the size of the bank collapse using bank slope structure method andE.r. method and two-stage and Zorro tower John method respectively. Throughcontrasting and analyze the difference of results of different evaluation methods,finding bank slope structure method method and Zorro tower John method have asimilar results and two-stage method have a bigger result comparing to the graphicalmethod and Zorro tower John method. It is maybe two-stage method consider thereason of Capillary water. There are similar results between E.r. method and the otherthree methods when the bank structure is single. But the result of E.r. method will bebigger.(3) Through limit equilibrium method to determine stability of the bank, find thebank to be stable in the best condition, and exclude the possibility the bank to slip.Make sure the type of the bank collapse.
