A city’s development level is influenced by its sustainable development which theprotection and design of urban wetland affects, urban wetland provides resources forthe production and life consumption, meanwhile there is important ecological andscenery function. In recent years, with the continuous growth of population, humanactivities towards nature are increasingly severe and frequent, and the demand tonatural resources is also growing. As a comparative ecosystem, the wetland hasbecome one of the main objects to explore, and the blind development toward wetlandsand irrational use has caused serious damage. As a part of wetlands, urban wetland isfacing more serious threat than natural wetland. Compared to the natural wetland, theurban wetland has its own particularity, mainly includes: uneven distribution, relativelysmall area, low connectivity and high level of the degree of fragmentation and islandstyle. There are six chapters in the thesis to state that the research on urban wetlandlandscape construction should be based on “Ecology should be an ideology, we designwhile protect, and protect while design.” and the thesis demonstrates the significanceof the ecological security pattern and wetland ecological planning during the urbanwetland landscape construction. The subject proves the rationality of the topic points, and on the basis of the view points, the methods and tactics are raised for urbanwetland landscape construction. The first chapter is introduction which illustrates the background, researchmethods and the topic meaning, establishes the research method and framework, andalso introduces the domestic and foreign research status, puts forward the relativeproblems of the domestic urban wetlands. The second chapter states the definition ofthe relative concepts and the importance of the sustainability theory. The third chapteranalyzes the urban wetland landscape construction, concludes the planning rules andguides the design. The fourth chapter explores the research methods to ecologicalsecurity pattern and concludes that the landscape planning is allowed to operate and toprotect instead of natural determinism. We need to consider human behaviors whiledesign and plan so that the landscape keeps its integrity and continuity. The fifthchapter is about the research toward the urban wetland ecological design and planning, along with relative theories, this chapter explores the direction and principle of the citywetland landscape construction, deepens the connection with sustainable design along with detailed cases analysis to prove that the research on urban wetland landscapeconstruction should be based on “Ecology should be an ideology, we design whileprotect, and protect while design.” The sixth chapter summarizes the details ofarguments, and forecasts the development and construction of urban wetlandlandscape.Through the exploration and research to urban wetland landscape construction, the thesis proposes that the research on urban wetland landscape construction shouldbe based on “Ecology should be an ideology, we design while protect, and protectwhile design.” And the essay provides new vision and thought to urban wetlandlandscape construction.
