Slope stability has always been the core issue in the field of geotechnical engineering. As the important tool of exactly evaluating the alternation of the slope status.safe monitoring has been practiced in many slope projeets. Due to the diversity of the slope type, the monitoring methods are complicated. Therefore, in-depth research of slope safety monitoring theories and methods of monitoring information system analysis is very important.Firstly, to make a classification of the slope by referring to the large number of documents. And get the four typical deformation and damage modes of slope by the inductive analysis of engineering examples. By the method of strength reduction based on Flac3d, a numerical simulation is made to analyze the deformation and damage modes of homogeneous soil slope and consequent bedding rock slope which are most typical ones. The results are arc-shaped sliding failure and plane sliding failure. The category for slope monitoring, design principles and major considerations of monitoring system, the collection and transmission methods of data are summarized. The numerical examples of homogeneous soil slope and consequent bedding rock slope are established, according to their deformation and failure characteristics, to arrange the monitoring points for the monitoring information which are the best indicator of the state of slope stability. This paper uses the method of precise geometric analytical solutions to determine the slope stability by monitoring information. For homogeneous soil slope, firstly to use the value of single-point displacement meter to calculate the horizontal and vertical displacement of each measurement point, determined the specific location of the sliding surface based on monitoring data of shallow angle of inclination and surface displacement, and then divided the circular slip block into the deformation zone and the non-deformation zone, made the use of the limit equilibrium condition of the slope deformation zone to anti-performance physical parameters, and finally determined the overall stability of the slope with the physical parameters; For consequent bedding rock slope, because of its failure characteristics of planar deformation, firstly determined the depth of the cracks at the top of the slope, then combined with the angle of the surface of the rock structure to make the scope of the instability block, and calculated the overall safety factor of the slope by the limit equilibrium method. Finally, combined with the stability factor of the slope and block volume to put forward a comprehensive slope safety warning indicators.
