With the acceleration of urbanization process in China, the original urban ground road transportation can’t meet the needs of a growing population of urban traffic, urban viaduct and urban underground traffic arises at the historic moment. Relative underground urban transportation, urban viaduct not only providing passenger services, but also providing services to the urban freight. Because single pier bridge has the advantages of saving the ground road resources and construction less investment, many urban planning and design personnel choose the form of single pier bridge. But single pier bridge in the transport of goods has some security risks, single pier bridge’s lateral stability often can’t fully meet the security needs of overloaded trucks traveling on the bridge because of its pier adopts alone pier form, especially overload phenomenon occurs frequently in our country, there are many bridges lateral instability due to bridge overthrow accidents. This article is for single pier bridge’s characteristic of insufficient in lateral stability, hoping to take some reasonable traffic organization, to ensure single pier bridge’s lateral stability, avoiding bridge overthrow accidents.In order to provide a reasonable measures to reduce bridge overthrow accidents, this article mainly studied in the following areas:1. In order to give back elevated road’s road block traffic control method provides the basis, this article describes the formal structure of single pier bridge; explains bridge overthrow phenomenon; calculate the lateral stability of the common single pier bridge able to provide; analysis of the relationship between the lateral stability of the whole bridge and the lateral stability of a single beam body; explores the analysis method of single pier bridge’s lateral stability under the dynamic traffic.2. Reference on railway block traffic organization, came up with elevated road’s road block traffic control method and block road’s calculation model of preload judgment; put forward signal’s display mode of elevated road; give the closing time’s prediction model of elevated road’s road block.3. Based on the traffic control method of elevated road’s road block, give the dynamic weighing scheme for overloaded truck and video detection scheme for completing blocking roads control needs; introduce piezoelectric sensors and bending plate weighing system; expound the recognition of the license plate and the length of the vehicle detection based on the video. 4. Expound the whole process of traffic detection and the traffic control process for the elevated road’s road block traffic control method proposed in this paper; form the traffic control points, elevated road’s signal display methods, the phase of going up the bridge, the phase of crossing the different blocking roads and so on several aspects has carried on the detailed analysis; explore the relevant influencing factors of blocking road’s control scheme.
