Because of the increasing seriousness of environmental problems, the increasingly tense of energy supply, more and more people have pay great attention to renewable clean energy, wind power as a renewable energy, not only clean and pollution-free, but also is one with the most mature and large-scale development conditions in renewable energy power generation technology, which has been welcomed by the countries all over the world and people has attached great importance to it. Wind power has more problems, many wind turbines layout together in wind farm, and some of the wind turbine will be in the wake of other wind turbines. Wake disorder structure will affects the fatigue load of downstream wind turbines, the performance of wind turbines and make the power output decreases, results in the decrease of total power output of the wind farm. Therefore, the experimental research on wind turbine wake structure and its performance will inevitably promote the research of static stall, dynamic stall and other unsteady phenomenon mechanism about wind turbines, and play an important role in the flow field analysis, the calculation accuracy of aerodynamic characteristics and load of wind turbines and the reasonable layout of wind turbines in wind farms. This paper selects100W small horizontal axis wind turbine, providing the incoming wind with axial flow fans, doing the experimental study of wake structure and performance about single wind turbine and more wind turbines in tandem and staggered arrangement.The contents of this paper mainly including the following several aspects:(1)Using a frequency converter to control the revolving speed of three axial flow fans in order to control the incoming wind velocity, with pitot tube and handheld anemometer to measure the wake field of single wind turbine and get the velocity and pressure distribution of far wake field. Also doing smoke cake experiment of single wind turbine trail and observing the development and annihilation process of wake. Then processing and analyzing data, getting conclusions which provide a reference basis for large-scale wind turbine wake study, as well as provide experimental validation for horizontal axis wind turbine wake numerical simulation.(2)Using the same method, measuring the wake field of two wind turbines in different tandem spacing, getting the velocity and pressure distribution of far wake field. Then processing and analyzing data, getting conclusions which provide relevant theoretical basis for the layout of wind turbines in wind farms.(3)Using the same method, measuring the wake field of two wind turbines in different stagger spacing, getting the velocity and pressure distribution of far wake field. Then processing and analyzing data, getting conclusions which provide relevant theoretical basis for the layout of wind turbines in wind farms.
