MPLS technology as an important composition of NGN technology, its effectivefusion of IP and ATM technologies, and has been widely used with good advantages.MPLS VPN, an important application of MPLS technology, can take advantage of thepublic backbone network’s transmission capacity, reduce the cost of setting up VPNnetwork, which greatly increases the flexibility of VPN user management network as wellas ensure users’ requirements for security and stable information transmission, thereforeMPLS VPN has become a preferred solution to complete the cross-regional networking formore and more large companies, institutions and government departments.With the rapid development of power grid enterprises in China, and a variety of poweroperation management information system, scheduling, demand for broadband servicessuch as multimedia video application, you need to build a power integrated data network tohost the transmission of broadband services, building an integrated data network to carryelectricity transmission of these broadband services is in need. So how to build a safe,stable, high-bandwidth and high-efficiency integrated data network has become animportant issue faced by power enterprise. Based on this situation, the paper takes theconstruction of SY power companies’ integrated data network as an example, and studiesMPLS VPN technology used in integrated data network. In this paper, the main work is asfollows:(1) In this paper, we overview the basic principle of VPN technology and the relatedtheory of MPLS VPN technology, the fundamental mode of MPLS, key components andworking process of MPLS VPN are also discussed deeply;(2) We clear requirements of SY power integrated data network. By researching thesituation of current communication network of SY power companies, it can be concludedthat the SDH network of SY power companies can’t meet the needs of enterprise’sdevelopment, and the ATM network must find an alternate network to carry the currentwork of ATM network. Meanwhile we deeply analyze all clients, business types, demandcharacteristics and traffic flow of SY power integrated data network which can providebasis for the planning and design of power integrated data network.(3) We determine the project overview, design scope, objectives and principles ofconstruction of SY power integrated data; We completes power integrated data topology design; MPLS VPN technology used in the power integrated data network applications isalso discussed in detail; Meanwhile, Cross-domain MPLS VPN schemes, service accessschemes are designed; We give a brief introduction of traffic engineering and networksecurity schematic design..This SY power integrated data network-networking projects, successful applicationsof MPLS VPN technology, cross-domain, and nested VPN and MPLS VPN technologieshas made a bold attempt. The SY power companies throughout the design of businesssystems planning to a network of high performance, network topology structure clear andeasy maintenance; While power business management system of VPN managementinformation is by isolated effectively by nested VPN technology, which realizes theeffective separation of all kinds of business data, and achieves mutual access; Thenetwork’s scalability is enhanced, there’s no need of re-networking when SY powercompanies need access to new business, we can complete the access of new businesssecurely without adding a new VPN to current network; Improving network resourceutilization. The project makes full use of data network resources, all kinds of businesssystems calculate multiplexing bandwidth of backbone; Network expansion is improved.The project calculate multiplexing bandwidth of backbone, we need no individualexpansion of a business system unless the backbone network bandwidth is not enough.Therefore, the successful networking will be able to provide an electric powercommunication network platform of SY power companies with high standard andefficiency. The project effectively improves the efficiency and stability of servicetransmission, which can meet the needs of network operations management of SY PowerCorporation.
