China is rich in biomass resources, but the resources are scattered with hugecapacity, inconvenient storage and difficult transportation, which easily create slaggingand incomplete fouling combustion. Coming with this situation is the difficulty ofbiomass production and utilization in large scale, which is currently the mainbottleneck restricting raw material scale use of biomass. Pyrolysis and carbonizationtechnology is considered to be the most effective way to break this bottleneck. In viewof this paper, we selected red pine bark, corn stalks, rice husk biomass feedstock threebiological raw material to pyrolysis char under low temperature. We analyze biocharquality parameters under different carbonization conditions, and conclude the bestcarbonization conditions of different materials. Five kinds of biomass charcoal areselected to do TGA experiments to analyze the biomass charcoal combustioncharacteristics. Comparing the raw material and corresponding biochar TG and DTGcurves, it indicates the biomass combustion properties is greatly improved aftercarbonization. Details are as follows:First, self-heating of hydraulic molding machines is used to compress and moldthe biomass feedstock. The conclusion is under the molding temperature180℃andmolding pressure25MP we can get the better molding biomass particles throughexperimental analysis and under such condition the relax density and durability canmeet the requirements of charring.Secondly, we do the industrial analysis and calorific value determination to thethree kinds of biomass feedstock, carry out the thermo gravimetric experiment, drawits TG and DTG curves, analyze its combustion characteristics to determine the finalcarbonization temperature is600℃, which is theoretically support the lowtemperature pyrolysis of biomass carbonization experimentThen, home-made temperature-controlled tube resistance furnace (maximum carbonization temperature1000℃, the maximum heating rate of20℃/min,capable of access variety of carrier gas, simultaneous multi-sample charring),nitrogen atmosphere, respectively at a heating rate of5℃/min,10℃/min,20℃/min, carbonization temperature was200℃,250℃,300℃,350℃,400℃,450℃,500℃,550℃,600℃for the low-temperature thermal carbonizationconditions charring solution, prepared biochar under various conditions, for a varietyof biomass carbon industrial analysis and determination of calorific value, andcalculate the mass yield and energy yield, determine the optimum conditions for avariety of carbonization of biomass.Finally, five kinds of biomass char H-600-10, Y-600-5, Y-600-10, Y-600-20,D-600-10are chosen to make TGA experiments and draw TG and DTG curves thenanalyze combustion characteristics. Comparing the TG and DTG curve of red pinebark with H-600-10, corn stalks with Y-600-10, rice husk with D-600-10, finally weget the conclusion that after charring the combustion performance can be greatlyimproved.
