High-speed rotating missile’s exterior ballistic parameters test provides an importantbasis for the accurate design of weapons and ammunition. Muzzle velocity plays an importantrole in ballistic performance evaluation of artillery system. Nutation parameters are the directfactors to determine whether the projectile is stable and whether early burst occurs duringflying.Existing exterior ballistic parameters test technology has complex structure of test device.It is difficult to obtain datas in harsh environment and has difficulty in the entire exteriorballistic parameters test. In order to solve the above problems, this thesis researches thetesting technology of speed, muzzle velocity and nutation parameters. Using theself-developed flexible film coil geomagnetic sensor(the principle is: the flexible film coilgeomagnetic sensor is installed in the surface of projectile rotating together with missile andcutting geomagnetic field generate periodic induction signal), designed the speed test systemof projectile based on the theory of storage test in projectile technology. At the same time, thisthesis proposes a new method to resolve the muzzle velocity and nutation parameters basedon speed of projectile. Using projectie speed and twist to resolve projectile muzzle velocity.Extracting the envelope of the projectile speed to reslove projectile nutation parameters.The main research contents of this thesis are as follows:(1) Researched the theory of magnetic field and designed the flexible film coilgeomagnetic sensor. Designed the speed test system of projectile based on the theory ofstorage test in projectile technology, and realized the accurate measurement of the speedsignal.(2) Derived the calculation formula of muzzle velocity. Based on the theory of rotationalstability of rotating missile established nutation model and derived the calculation formula ofnutation angle and nutation cycle of projectile.(3) Studied the signal time-frequency analysis of HHT method, and applied this method to analyze the signal of speed, applied Hilbert transform to extract the envelope of speedsignal.The projectile speed test system designed in this thesis has the advantages of simple andconvenient installment, high measuring accuracy. And it doesn’t need power supply. Basedon this method proposed a new method of using the projectile speed information to solve themuzzle velocity and nutation parameters which has the advantages of simple solution and cancalculate the entire exterior ballistic nutation parameters. The test data provides the importantbasis for the optimization and the design of the rotating missile.
