Small-caliber rotating projectile has shown their talents in recent years in modern warfare,and it will play a more important role in future war as a short-range air defense projectile. Itwill play a greater role in the war by changing small-caliber ammunition to smart munitionswhich can be simply controlled. It has important practical significance in national defensescience and technology development.For guided munitions, smart munitions, they have problems such as high overload, widetesting scale, low cost, tiny volume, these problems limited the application of inertial device.Under the effect of the geomagnetic field, geomagnetic sensor can reflect changes in theattitude of the missile flight. There are many advantages by using the geomagnetic fieldmeasurements to achieve missile posture testing, such as electrical passive, no radiation, all-time, all-weather, low energy consumption and other excellent characteristics, and hasbecoming the development trend of projectile attitude measuring method.The following tasks were accomplished with small-caliber rotation projectile as theresearch object. Designed a small-caliber rotation projectile attitude test system.1)Established exterior trajectory model according to the characteristics of38mmballistic riot projectile, and established the trajectory modeling using MATLAB software,After the simulation, their flying height, range, speed, and pitch angle and other trajectorymoroto information can be acquired.2)According to the characteristics of short-time and near range of projectile’s flying,yaw angle may be assumed to be constant during the test constant, then obtained taiyuan local geomagnetic intensity, magnetic declination and inclination from the internationalgeomagnetic field model, calculating the yaw angle of projectile. Elaborated geomagneticsensor attitude solver algorithm, and simulated the three axial geomagnetic output.3)Designed a projectile attitude measuring system in which magnetic sensor is appliedto acquire projectile attitude angle and accelerometers to measure acceleration signals, andobtained the motion trajectory of projectile by calculating attitude angle and acceleration.Signal processing circuit, A/D converter module, data storage module, power management,control center and other hardware modules were designed for this testing system.
