Traditional resources, such as coal, oil, natural gas, etc., have brought global environment problems which get more and more serious. Countries in the world pay close attention to the new energy resources, among which solar energy is a kind of clean renewable energy. In nearly a decade, countries all over the world have promoted the development of solar power generation industry, and the industry of photovoltaic power station both on the ground and roof has gradu-ally formed.Firstly, this thesis introduced the mathematical model and Matlab simulation model of the photovoltaic cell and improved the conventional engineering mathematical model by adding temperature correction depend on optical radiation intensity. Moreover, this thesis analyzed the the influence of radiation intensity of illumination, environment temperature, equivalent internal series resistance and bypass resistance upon the characteristics of the photovoltaic cells. Sec-ondly, we analyzed the design process of the photovoltaic grid power generation system on the background of the practical project of6.5MWp photovoltaic grid-connected power generation in Jiangsu Siyang, including the analysis of the solar energy resources, photovoltaic module se-lection and installation, the angle and spacing of photovoltaic arrays, the power grid access sys-tem, the composition of monitoring system, the calculation of power generation, the initial grid-connected test and running results of the photovoltaic power station, etc. Additionally, this paper proprosed the spacing calculation method among solar array on any sloping ground. Last, this paper studied the maximum power point tracking technology, extended the perturb&ob-serve algorithm based on the power prediction method and proposed the quadratic interpolation power prediction method. Moreover, combining with the idea of the power prediction method and three points comparison method, this paper proposed a kind of maximum power point tracking technology based on the loop prediction method.
