Inverter has been widely applied in the industry and daily lives, and its efficiency problem has attracted more and more attention. The study on the efficiency of inverter also becomes a central issue.The efficiency of converter is selected as the research object of this paper. The loss calculation model of two-level converter under SVPWM is introduced. The control strategy and converter losses are discussed, the simulation model is established. Two-level converter has been established for experimental verification.The loss calculation model of three-level converter under SVPWM is established. The loss calculation model is analyzed and calculated. The efficiency of three-level inverter and two-level inverter is compared. To further verify the result of simulation, NPC three-level converter is established.The simulation and experimental results demonstrate that the correctness of theoretical analysis on the loss calculation model of three-level and two-level inverters in this paper, and the three-level inverter has more efficiency advantage.
