With the rapid development of social economy and urbanization, shield tunnel has become the main form of urban subways. In order to analyze the dynamic response of shield tunnel in saturated sandy soil stratum under earthquake, theoretical analysis and numerical simulation are employed based on the domestic and international research on seismic analysis of underground structures. In this paper, the dynamic response of shield tunnel in saturated sandy soil stratum under strong earthquake has been studied. The research is as follow:(1) The significance of the research, the seismic response characteristics of shield tunnel, and the seismic response analysis of shield tunneling methods were reviewed and the dynamic response theory of shield tunnel in saturated sand strata at earthquake motion was elaborated(2) The numerical simulation of seismic dynamic response in saturated sand strata under the effect of sinusoidal wave. The effects of amplitude, frequency, duration of the sinusoidal seismic wave on the dynamic response of shield tunnel in saturated stratum were analyzed.(3) On the basis of analyzing the pore pressure type and its dynamic effect, the effect of dynamic pore pressure on the lining was elaborated. According to the numerical simulation of seismic at different initial ground water level, the characteristics of fluctuation time history curve of stress and pore water pressure of lining element were analyzed. The positions of the maximum fluctuation amplitude of pore water pressure, the maximum acceleration and the maximum displacement were obtained.(4) According to the numerical analysis of coupled dynamic response of shield tunnel lining under different initial void ratio and different compression modulus of saturated sand soil below20m water head, the relation between pore water pressure fluctuation amplitude, the maximum acceleration, the maximum displacement, the stress fluctuation of lining segment and soil parameters were revealed.
