Foundation pit engineering is one of the oldest problems in geotechnical engineering. In the process of its development, it has accumulated a large number of engineering experience. The foundation pit engineering is involved in geotechnical engineering, structural engineering and construction technology and other related issues, its problem is very complex and the development of design theory lagging behind the engineering practice.At present, the incremental method is used popularly method in China, hut this method exits many problems, and there are much difference between the calculated results and the reality. Therefore, there are some research work done, as follows:(1) Review the calculated method used in the design of piles, the analysis theory, the material of parameters, the analysis model of soil pressure and the advantages and drawbacks of them are researched. At last, the basis theory and the advantages and drawbacks of the incremental method are analysis.(2) Aiming at the drawbacks of the incremental method, the new method is proposed. Its calculating procedures are write. And then, comparing to the calculated results and the field investigation results, the reasonability of the new method is verified.(3) The supporting structures of typical deep foundation engineering are calculated by the new method and the incremental method, and the difference of them is also analysis.
