In shooting range test, the general method to test bullet coordinates and calculate bullet spatial distribution is intersection test by using linear camera or area camera. In recent years, with the development of computer control and information processing technology, and the array camera can obtain intuitive two-dimensional image information and the bullet trajectory within the scope of the view, a new measurement system which uses high-speed area cameras was used to measure spatial distribution of the bullets, it develops fast and get more attention.This paper proposed a method that the double array camera was adopted to measure the target space position. The method includes double area camera’s standing arrangement, camera internal and external parameters calibration, objective points matching method and target space three-dimensional coordinates calculation. On the standing arrangement of double area camera, the paper proposed a method which combined with mathematical model establishment and error analysis to determine the best standing arrangement. On the camera parameter calibration of target space distribution test system, the paper put forward an improved method based on canny operator. On the target matching, this paper proposed an adaptive multi-iterative method in combination with the bullet trajectory image to realize multi-target matching. At last, multi-objective spatial distribution was obtained by use of Binocular stereo vision method.In this paper, double area camera’s standing arrangement in the test system was obtained by the way of experiment. The system achieved camera parameters calibration, effectively solved the matching problem of multi-objective, and obtained multi-bullet target’s three-dimensional space coordinates and their spatial distribution. Experimental data and simulation results verify the feasibility and operability of this target space distribution test method based on double area camera. It is of great importance to improve the level of shooting range test.
