While the enhancing of national economy leads to the developing of the whole autoindustry, people’s requirements on the vehicle NVH performance are also increasing. Thehigher requirement of automotive suspension system’s performance is put forward. In thesuspension system, as a flexible connecting member, rubber bushing, which connects frameand axle (or wheel), plays a vital role for the operating stability of vehicle. The majorityapplication form of the rubber bushing is metal and damping rubber adhesive fitting. In theautomotive industry, for the purpose of energy saving, aluminum obtains great applicationsin auto parts depends on its lightweight advantages. So, most of the rubber bushing made ofaluminum-rubber adhesive pieces. There is a defeat that rubber is easy to aged anddegummed in the application of the rubber bushing, which seriously affects the use safety.Therefore, to enhance the bonding strength of aluminum alloy-rubber and to improvefatigue resistance of rubber bushing has become the focus of my study.In this article, to begin with, the performance of three formulations of rubber whichwith different types of rubber and proportion were compared and the formulation of rubberswere optimized; Next, modified for bottom coating adhesive, adding different types andcontent of epoxy resins and different types of silane coupling agents into phenolic resin, incontrast to the bonding strength of phenolic epoxy adhesive, chose the best recipe,madephenolic epoxy adhesive not only environmentally friendly, but also to reach a certain bondstrength; choose the rubber which were made of optimum material formulations, bonding itwith aluminum which went through three different surface treatments (acid etching,polishing after etching and coating treatment), using the improved environmental protectionadhesive to obtain the test pieces, the adhesive strength and the coverage surface of the testpieces after fracture were compared; For three formulations, and three aluminum surfacetreatments, nine rubber bushings were got through orthogonal test method, and to test thenine rubber bushings by radial static stiffness, axial static stiffness, swing angle stiffness,torsional stiffness testing, pressed into force testing and fatigue testing respectively.As the experimental results show, the whole properties of three rubber formulations can meet the standard, but the formulation containing neoprene rubber has excellent ozoneresistance performance; under the action of a silane coupling agent KH550, with phenolicresin and bisphenol A epoxy resin E51in the mass ratio of10:3, environmentally friendlywater-based synthetic phenolic epoxy adhesive bonding effect is better; the best integratedperformance rubber bushing is obtained by using natural rubber and butadiene rubber as themain material and using the formulation ratio of90:10, the rubber is bonded to the aluminumwhich go through coating surface treatment.
