With the accelerating pace of urbanization and increasing urban population, high-risebuildings accordingly come into being in order to meet the housing needs. Thoughhigh-rise buildings can satisfy residents’ housing demands, many problems still remain tobe solved. Among those numerous problems, the noise problem of water supply anddrainage pipeline is increasingly drawing people’s attention. The noise caused by watersupply and drainage pipeline will easily penetrate walls, damage residents’ health and evenprevent residents from taking a good rest in night. In the process of construction,construction units will usually neglect the noise resulting from pipeline vibration. As aresult, it is greatly necessary for residents to again conduct noise proof processing aboutthe pipe network after they move into new houses, which wastes both money and resources.When problems tend to be serious, the redesign and reconstruction of the pipelines becomevery necessary, which also increase the building’s potential safety hazard. Therefore, thenoise of water supply and drainage pipeline should be eliminated instantly. The papermainly elaborates on production mechanism of pressure pulsation, pressure pulsation’smodeling and simulating calculation related to water supply pipeline, conducts pressurepulsation analysis on pipeline outside the pipeline by combining with the string vibrationequation and compares and verifies the analysis results. In the aspect of noise reduction ofdrainage pipeline, the paper primarily introduces several common noise reduction methods,points out these methods’ advantages and disadvantages and puts forward its proposals.The key point of the paper lies in working out pipeline pressure pulsation by introducing inthe string vibration equation. It takes every section of pipeline fixed on walls as two fixedstrings. When the pipeline vibrates, the string is seemed to be pulled. The external forcepulling the string is just the pipeline’s pressure pulsation. It obtains the first five modalsand modes of vibration and deduces the mathematical expression mode of vibrationthrough analyzing pipeline’s modal and mode of vibration with ANSYS. Then, it puts theexpression into the string vibration equation and calculates the pressure pulsation via Matlab to reach a result which is roughly the same with the result in other papers.Theoretically, it proves the feasibility of this method. The method can measure thepipeline’s pressure pulsation outside the pipeline and judge vibration’s position bycomparing the pressure pulsations in different locations, in order to tackle the problem ofpipeline vibration. With regard to the problems of drainage pipeline, existing methodsshould also be taken into consideration for comprehensive treatment. For high-risedrainage pipelines, research emphasis should be laid on the sewage flow velocity to makeit automatically controlled according to residents’ water consumption and keep structuresimple and safe. Only in this way, can the noise problem of drainage pipeline be radicallysolved.
