With increasing use in the area of military, industry, medical, communication, andscientific research, study on high voltage DC power supply becomes more and moresignificant. This paper introduces a study on high efficiency multi-output high voltageDC power supply. During this study, the increase of efficiency is paid more attention.Firstly, this paper summarizes the application, classification, and development ofhigh voltage DC power supply. Then this paper introduces the resonant converter and itsapplication in high voltage power supply. Secondly, this paper lists the designrequirements and proposes LLC resonant converter to be the main circuit. Then thispaper introduces the design of LLC resonant converter in detail. The difference betweenhigh voltage LLC resonant converter and original LLC resonant converter is studied bymodeling the high voltage with its parasitic parameter. In order to obtain the value ofparasitic capacitor and leakage inductance, this paper builds finite element simulationmodel of high voltage transformer. We could confirm the transformer structure with theassistant of Ansys. Thirdly, this paper designs the high efficiency auxiliary circuit, inwhich synchronous rectification is used to reduce the loss. Matlab siso box help usdesign the feedback circuit. All circuit designs are assisted with Pspice simulation inthis paper. Lastly, we develop an engineering prototype based on upper theories. Theexperiment results verify the theory and simulation. Efficiency optimization is analyzedin this part with experiment data.However, this paper still exist some shortages. For example, the model of highvoltage transformer is not precise, which will be explained in the summarization part.This part can provide theory and practice experience for the future higher performancedesign.
