The Research Of Xiangtan City Linear Green Space Network

As a special form of urban green space, linear green space which includes natural ecology, river system, traffic corridor, historical context, city parks and related factors plays an important role in urban green space system. But, a single green space has not been able to meet the needs of urban residents. Certainly, a network of green space will become an inevitable trend in the future development. Planning a linear green space, forming a network of green space layout, optimizing urban green space system and improving the efficient use of urban green open space are the main contents of this paper.In this paper, we focus on landscape ecology theory, greenway systems theory, green Infrastructure theory, hierarchy of needs theory. Through analyzing practice cases, such as Miami River Green Action Plan, Singapore Park Road, special Shenzhen greenway network planning and special Zhoushan greenway planning, this paper summarizes elements, spatial form and functional characteristics of linear green space. Eventually, theoretical study of linear green has been proposed. Using the specific situation of Xiangtan linear green space, we can have a better understanding of a linear network of green space. Though analyzing the main factors of the linear green space, this paper put forwards Xiangtan linear green space layouts such as "one river, three gallery","two belts, six rings" and "four horizontal, three vertical". Planning strategy, which is summarized in this paper, is from the angle of area network environment, cultural co-ordination, resource building and carrying capacity expending. By researching linear green space network, we can better solve the problems of urban green single, uneven distribution, poor overall service and so on.Xiangtan linear network of green construction of urban green space provides a new planning prospect and provides a reference for green space system planning. This paper has a contribution on the implementation of the planning in Xiangtan, and has a certain significance on planning in other cities as well.
