HVAC has been taken a large part in building energy consumption, as people improvethe requirements of indoor environmental, energy consumption of HVAC is rising year byyear. Ground source heat pumps use renewable energy, easing the consumption ofconventional energy sources. The technology of ground source heat pump is mature in foreigncountries, but in our country, is not so perfect in application, it did not take full use of itsenergy-saving advantages. Therefore, it has great value to optimize the design of groundsource heat pump system in air conditioning.By input a small amount of electrical energy, ground source heat pump can transfer therenewable geothermal energy to an available energy, satisfying the needs of people’s lives. Itsenergy-saving potential is huge, in today’s society it has very high application value andenvironmental value. This paper studies the operating conditions of ground source heat pump air conditioningsystem in an office building in Beijing, analyzes the deficiency of the traditional designmethod of air conditioning. On this basis, propose several methods to optimize the design ofair conditioning system, through the comparative of the operating parameters in thesemethods, analyzed the characteristics. In this paper, we use TRNSYS as the simulation platform. First, establish the model ofground source heat pump system, second, analyze the operating status and energyconsumption of the heat pump. We can see that, the traditional method, which selecting a heatpump according to the maximum load of the building, is not in a high energy efficiency, and itis not comfortable for people lived here. When operation in summer, use the monitoring andcontrol equipment to change the operation mode of the heat pump. In this way, we canimprove the efficiency of the heat pump, reduce the power. When operation in winter, we canuse solar energy as an auxiliary heat source, in this way, we can also improve the efficiency ofthe heat pump and improve indoor comfort.
