Effects Of Different Fertilization On The Growth And Physiology Of Zelkova Schneideriana Seedlings

The paper selected one-year-old and two-year-old Zelkova schneideriana as materials andemployed three factors five level orthogonal deSig.n. The study was undertaken with therelationship between physiological status of one-year-old nursery-grown plant andfertilization,which taken steps with the single factor of N and the formula fertilization.Meanwhile,this paper carried out a research on the influence of the two-year-old growth treesthrough the three factors three level orthogonal deSig.n. In order to provide a reference for theproduction and cultivation of Zelkova schneideriana.The main results are follows:1. N single factor test results showed that:Within a certain range, with the increase in theamount of nitrogen fertilizer,the indicators of one-year-old Zelkova schneideriana were improvedSig.nificantly.When N fertilizer excessed,the amount of tree growth were decreased and evendeath.Height and ground diameter in the2g/tree level reached the maximum113.8cm and11.54mm;Best height to ground diameter ratio at level of4g/tree;Fresh weight reached themaximum59.74g/tree at level of2g/tree;Chlorophyll content reached the maximum at level of4g/tree;Soluble protein reached the maximum at level of8g/tree;Soluble sugar reached themaximum at level of16g/tree;POD activity reached the maximum at level of8g/tree;SODactivity reached the maximum at level of2g/tree.It can be seen that impact of N fertilizer on theone-year-old Zelkova schneideriana were Sig.nificant.The best level of N fertilizer in the2g-4g/tree. Meanwhile, September was the exuberant period of that the growth morphologies ofone-year-old Zelkova schneideriana. So fertilization in September was effective in promoting thegrowth of seedlings.2. N,P,K proportion fertilizer on one-year-old Zelkova schneideriana test results showed that:morphological indexes under N,P,K proportion fertilizer higher than N single fertilizer. Themaximum height reached116.6cm,the maximum ground diameter reached12.19mm,maximumfresh weight reaches85.18g/tree.The results show that the effect of mixed fertilizer better than asingle fertilizer. Within a certain range, with the increase in the amount of fertilizer, Zelkovaschneideriana grown better,when the amount of fertilizer was excessed,the tree grown worse.TheOptimal formula for height was N₃P₄K₃,N₃P₄K₅was best for ground diameter; N₄P₂K₃was bestfor height to ground diameter ratio;N₃P₂K₅was best for fresh and dry weight;N₄P₂K₃was best forChlorophyll content;N₅P₄K₅was best for soluble protein;N₄P₄K₁was best for solublesugar;N₃P₅K₁was best for POD activity;N₄P₂K₅was best for SOD activity.September is theoptimal month for the growth of Zelkova schneideriana.Considering the growth of seedlings andfertilizer economy, the N₃P₄K₃was the best combination for Zelkova schneideriana. It means that the optimal formula N,P,K fertilizer were2g/tree,4g/tree,1g/tree,that N:P₂O₅:K₂O=2:1:1.3. N,P,K proportion fertilizer on two-year-old Zelkova schneideriana test results showthat:The optimal formula of two-year-old Zelkova schneideriana height growth and diametergrowth was N₃P1K3,It means that the optimal formula N,P,K fertilizer were100g/tree,50g/tree,60g/tree,that N:P₂O₅:K₂O=8:1:5.The two-year-old Zelkova schneideriana needs N and K morethan P,so we can application more N,K fertilizer and less P fertilizer.
