China’s plant protection machinery and its spraying technology lag behind those of developed countries, the efficiency of pesticide utilization is low., and the majority of pesticides is not deposited in the target area but directly drain into the environment, which resulting in pesticide waste and environmental pollution. The transform of continuous spraying into intermittent automatic for target spraying is a effective means to solve the problems of low pesticide utilization and large environmental effect.Under the target identification of fruit trees and automatic control of spraying device, by the combination of automation technology and spray technology, it ultimately achieves the final aim of the spray implementation to specific target only.This article is based on the basic principles of infrared reflectance. On the basis of understanding and mastering the existing target detection techniques, using analog sinusoidal modulation, the article designed an infrared target detection system to test the performance of the detection range and detection spacing targeted, the system including infrared emission unit, the infrared receiver unit and a microprocessor unit and so on. The main topic of research as follows:(1) Through literature review and field research, it analyzes the development status of the target detection and detection principle, and then gives a performance comparison analysis for the domestic and foreign targets detection technology.(2) According to the research on the optical reflection characteristics of crops, attenuation characteristics of transmission medium, and the analysis on the impact of optical system on overall system performance, the emission wavelength of infrared source was determined.(3)By selecting the appropriate components, this article builds the infrared target detection system. Based on the basic principles of infrared reflectance, it builds a system of infrared emission unit, the infrared receiver unit and a microprocessor unit and debugs of each unit, the system can work.(4)Building a experimental platform for detecting distance test and space test, based on the processing of test data and the analyzing of test results. we can draw conclusions about detecting objects.
