The shortage of water resources, ecological environmental degradation are more and more serious with China’s social and economic development. As the development of water-saving agriculture, spreading water-saving irrigation techniques, is not only an effective way to solve the shortage of agricultural water, but also an important means to alleviate the ecological environment of water. Retaining agent, which is a chemical water-saving material, is a high-tech of the drought and saving water in agriculture and forestry production, using different varieties of cassava,the different amount of water retaining agent, urea usage and drought stress as the controlling factor and combineing with the mutual interaction between these control factors under orthogonal design, our research studied changes of cassava biomass and drought-resistance physiology and biochemistry indexs. Here is our conclusions.The influence of the four control factors on plant’s physiology and biochemistry indexs was as follow, plant height, drought stress> different cassava varieties> urea> amount of water retaining agent; stem diameter, root to shoot ratio, leaf chlorophyll content, nitrogen uptake rate of the order was drought stress> different varieties of cassava> amount of water retaining agent>urea; superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity, relative conductivity, proline content, drought stress> amount of water retaining agent> different cassava varieties> urea. The interaction between drought stress the amount of water retaining agent significantly affected the leaf superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity, leaf relative conductivity, proline content.The influence of different degree of drought stress on plant height, stem diameter, root to shoot ratio, chlorophyll content, nitrogen uptake rate, superoxide dismutase SOD activity and proline content was no drought stress> mild drought stress> moderate drought stress, on the relative electrical conductivity was mild drought stress> moderate drought stress> no drought stress.The sort of three varieties of cassava was SC8> SC205> SC11by plant height, stem diameter, SCI1> SC205> SC8by Shoot ratio, leaf chlorophyll content, nitrogen uptake, leaf superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity, proline content and SC8> SC205> SC11by leaf relative conductivity.The influence of three dosage levels of water retaining agent to plant height, root to shoot ratio, chlorophyll content, nitrogen uptake rate, superoxide dismutase SOD activity, the relative conductivity, proline content in the order was0.2g>0.1g>0.0,and0.1g>0.0g>0.2g to the impact of stem diameter.The influence of three dosage levels of urea to plant height, root to shoot ratio, chlorophyll content, nitrogen uptake rate, superoxide dismutase SOD activity, the relative conductivity, proline content in the order was0.6g>0.3g>0,and O.Og=0.3g>0.6g to the impact of stem diameter.
