In order to explore the sustainable management of Quercus variabilis coppice technicalmeasures. In this research, we used coppice forest and fuelwood in Qinling as research object.Taked control experiments and plots exploratory methods Of different thinning intensity, thedifferent harvesting frequency, different number of saplings fixed sample survey andmonitoring, The effect of the three harvesting tending on the the Q.variabilis ruinned ofsecondary forest directional breeding techniques; Analysis of harvesting frequencyQ.variabilis stumps seedling growth and seedling rate stumps; Stumps to keep the number ofseedlings of their growth and development; Thinning on dwarf stand structure and forestground biomass accumulation of. Through the reasonable adjustments woodland density andspatial pattern, Goven full play to the potential for forest growth, forest land productivity,The development of the best Q.variabilis coppice continuing operations of order. Goingconcern basis for the Q.variabilis coppice. The main results were as follows:1. Cutting frequency had a influence on the sprout number per stump and the sproutgrowth amount. All the results implied that much cutting had disadvantage to a quickrecovery and reestablishment of the vegetation. In the future, reasonable sprouts numbershould be improved to promote the growth of sprouting seedlings. Thinning cutting timesshould be taken to reestablishment of the vegetation.1) With the increase of cutting frequence, the number of seedlings decreased, the sprout growth amount (base diameter, height andcrown width) decreased.2) There was a negative correlation between the sprout number perstump and the average base diameter, crown width(P<0.05). Sprout average height of the1thcutting stump increased at first and then decreased slightly with the increasing of sproutnumber. Sprout height of the2th and3th stump decreased with the increasing of sproutnumber.3) The sprouting percentage of stump declined significantly with the increasing ofcutting frequency and the survival percentage of newborn sprouts decreased in differentcutting frequency.2. The treatment that different sprout numbers reserved on each stump favored stumpsprouts biomass accumulation. during5years after thinning, stump sprouts basal diameter andheight were sustained rapid growth, its growth rate does not appear to decreased. It wasnecessary that continued thinning to promote sprouts growth in future operation, so that biomass accumulation was better The result Show that it is significant that sprout numbersreserved on each Q.variabilis stump for the sprouting seedling growth and biomassaccumulation. The stump was reserved1sprout facilitates adorable seedlings diameter andheight growth. The most biomass accumulation was3sprouts per stump. Choose to no morethan3sprouts reserved, it was advantageous to achieve the different purposes to secondaryforest cultivation.3. Reasonable thinning adjustments can stand density and spatial pattern, throughthinning intensity management measures to improve forest illumination. forest window opensis good for affecting the site environment. changing site conditions, improving woodlandadequate light, the residue after cutting the branches, leaf litter decomposition was better.Promoting the accumulation of soil nutrients. Period of5years after thinning intensitymanagement measures, stump sprouting seedlings and individual of Q.Variabilis.biomassaccumulation is increasing. Retention was kept closed0.59, It is better to promote individualtree growth.
