The rates of spread measured by the three methods show no significant differences. Since the pole method and thermocouple method can only provide the rate of spread of a particular point or time while the image method can measure rates of spread of one or many points, the image method is superior to these two methods and thus can take place of the later ones(2) Viewing angle of camera does not have significant influence on accuracy of the visible image and infrared method.
