The research is worked on the Meloidogyne incognita resistance of different Camellia species. The work investigated the infection of the nematodes in different seedling nurseries from Guangxi, mainly in the breeding bases of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Forestry Research Institute (GFRI), Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Hezhou Babu Forestry Research Institute (GHFRI) and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Weidu Forestry Farm (GWFF). Based on the investigation, the resistance in different Camellia species on Meloidogyne incognita, such as C. oleifera, C. vietnamensis, C. nanyongensis, C. gigantocarapa, C. polyodonta, C. semiserrata, C. osmantha, is studied. The results as following:The Meloidogyne incognita are all founded in three breeding bases. Take the research in GFRI as an example. C. oleifera is the most serious infected species. All plants are infected by Meloidogyne incognita, with the gall index up to53.8. C. vietnamensis and C. nanyongensis are less serious than C. oleifera. About18%of C. vietnamensis and23%of C. nanyongensis are infected and the gall index is5.0and7.4for both species. C. gigantocarapa and C. polyodonta are the least infected species among them. Only2%of C. gigantocarapa and4%of C. polyodonta are infected and the gall index is0.4and0.8separately.60days after the investigation of the10002nd instar nematodes inoculation. There are obvious different resistances among different Camellia species after inoculated Meloidogyne incognita. Seedlings of C. oleifera have100%infected and56.89as gall index;C. gigantocarapa has7.78%infected and2.0as gall index; C. semiserrata, C. osmantha and C. vietnamensis separately have60%,65.77%and37.78%infected and25.33,28.67and14.44as gall index. It suggests that C. oleifera is susceptible species (S-spcies) of Meloidogyne incognita, C. gigantocarapa is high-resistance species (HR-species) and C. semiserrata, C. osmantha and C. vietnamensis are middle-resistance species (MR-species).Inoculated with the1000Age nematodes60days after the survey showed, the root, stem, leaf growth of C. gigantocarapa, C. osmantha, C. vietnamensis C. semiserrata has not been significantly affected; C. oleifera plant height, stem dryfresh weight and leaf area, dry the fresh weight must be significantly lower than the control, while the content of nutrient elements in the leaves is lower than that of the control, but the lateral root growth is promoted, that deficiency of nutritional elements lead to stem elongation and leaf growth was inhibited plants favor by promoting the growth of lateral roots absorb more nutrients in the soil, in order to alleviate the lack of nutrient supply on shoot growth caused damage. The resistance in Camellia species on Meloidogyne incognita shows individual separations. The works on C. oleifera, C. gigantocarapa, C. semiserrata, C. osmantha, C. vietnamensis support the conclusion. C. oleifera shows obvious individual differences. It can be used in the selection of resistant variety. C. semiserrata, C. osmantha, C. vietnamensis can also be used for selection resistant variety. The work has less use in the species, C. gigantocarapa, as its high resistance on Meloidogyne incognita.
