6micro-endosperm maize materials with opaque-2(o2) gene(o2micro-endosperm maize for short) were used in this study, which have been inbred4generations to obtain S1, S2, S3and S4. A part of grains were selected from S1, S2, S3and S4in random sampling, grain weight and oil percentage, amino acids, lysine content were measured, the difference of these strains were compared on these traits among the different generations, the relation of these traits among each generation were analyzed. The changes of these strains in o2micro-endosperm maize with the increase of the inbred generation were studied. The main results were as follows:1, The results of the grain weight showed that:With the increase of inbred generation, the grain weight of the various strains in o2micro-endosperm maize showed different change, but the correlation coefficient (r) wasn’t significant at0.05level. The total mean of grain weight was decreased with the increase of inbred generation increased.2, The oil percentage of the o2micro-endosperm maize for strains1,4,5,6were increased with the increase of inbred generation. The oil percentage of strain2and strain3were reduced in the S3and increased in the S4, only the oil percentage of strain3in the S4was lower than that in the S1.3, After the inbreeding was conducted for4generations in the o2micro-endosperm maize, their amino acid (AA short for) content was changed. When they were inbred4generations, their AA content, essential amino acids (EAA short for) content and non-essential amino acid (NEAA short for) content in strain1and strain2were slightly lower or unchanged, but the AA content, EAA content and NEAA content in strains3and strain4were increased, which maybe related to the differences of strain. After the o2 micro-endosperm maize was inbred4generations, great changes have been taken place in their lysine content. The lysine content of each strain in the S4was higher than that in the S1except strain1, and the r was significant at0.05level.4, The results of simple correlation coefficients between every kinds of AA content showed that:the r between most kinds of EAA and NEAA was significant at0.05or0.01level. Lysine content and EAA content were significantly positive correlated with AA content.5, The correlation analysis between every inbred generation each other about these traits of o2micro-endosperm maize were made, then the results indicated that:(1) The correlation coefficient of grain weight between every inbred generation were positive, but the r wasn’t significant at0.05level.(2) The correlation coefficient of oil percentage between the S1and the S3, the S3and the S4were positive, the r wasn’t significant at0.05level. The correlation coefficient of oil percentage between the S1and the S4was significant at0.05level.(3)A11of the simple correlation coefficients of AA, EAA and lysine content between S1and S4were positive but not significant at0.05level.6, To sum up, after the o2micro-endosperm maize been inbred4generations, there was no consistent changes on these strains. But the result showed that inbred line whose important traits were been improved such as strain4were emerged. As the limited experimental materials, its general regularity needs the further research.
