This thesis makes a research on the effect of the discipline of slope Runoff and Sediment from potato plant coverage, slope and rainfall intensity facto by combining artificial rainfall with analyses, using the potato crop on sloping land as an object, as well as on soil moisture infiltration characteristics and rill erosion and development. There are following main conclusions:(1) The coverage of potato the kind of which is applies in this study can be more than80%of the area. The dense canopy intercepted effectively rainfall and protected surface, so that it reduced the slope of runoff and sediment, helped to keep soil nutrients and increase of the infiltration of surface soil moisture. So it has a very important positive effect on Farming and protection of the sloping land.(2) The outdoor artificial rainfall test results show that cropland erosion runoff and sediment yield with potato coverage were less than the bare slope, and has a negative correlation with plant coverage, is positively correlated with rainfall intensity and slope. For example, runoff and sediment yield under the conditions of different potato coverage cell at the slope degree of10°can be reduced by26.17%-97.43%. runoff and sediment yield is2to3times more than5°cell in the same rainfall intensity at the gradient of15°;at the same slope,in the rainfall intensity90mm/h.runoff and sediment yield is9to15times more than the that of the cell where the rainfall intensity is60mm/h,20~30times of the cell where rain intensity is30mm/h.(3) Rainfall infiltration capacity of the potato crop vegetation is bigger than the that of the original, with potato crop coverage increasing, the infiltration capacity becomes stronger; the slope infiltration performance is negatively correlated with the slope, and a positive correlation with rainfall intensity.(4) The original slope sediment transport rate in early rain shows an upward trend, with the rainfall continuing, sediment transport rate decreases gradually, and sediment yield decreases; under the canopy-covered slope with potato crop, sediment transport rate is always a downward trend during rainfall, and the greater the coverage, and the smaller the rate of sediment transport. at the different slope gradient slopes, sediment transport rate and the slope was negatively correlated.
